Shade Selection for the Exterior Envelope

This course teaches attendees how to utilize solar performance shades to enhance building envelope performance from heat management and daylighting perspectives. Upon completion of this course, participants will understand how different fabric properties, such as color and openness factor, affect shade performance, building energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality. By analyzing these properties and fabric fenestration data, attendees will be able to effectively specify the right fabrics for their building projects.
