Candidate Statement
If selected as a Chapter Leader, I will work to continue to educate our Members, IP’s and future Leaders (starting as early as the Student Level) to enact more sustainable and manageable practices, forge smart business practices from other trusted Professionals and continue to promote the HSW of our great industry. We live in a time of uncertainty, but I have, personally, witnessed, so much growth, adaptability and ingénue from others in my professional and personal life. I know our Members may only benefit by adopting these same practices, even if only small changes over time. We are the future of design and we are also stronger together. We must also work to establish and built a platform for those voices that may feel overshadowed in this industry by engaging with more men, people of color and various sexual orientations. I feel that we must move to a virtual platform and continue to maintain our social nature and commingling of fresh ideas and excitement for our industry. Guidance on grants, business loans and other forgiveness policies will be a big part of the Q1 year ahead as well. I will also make it my goal to help and provide a supportive hand to the rest of my current Board Members to be sure we have all information out there for our Members to access and to communicate where those are via social media and other outlets.
