ASID Texas Chapter Announces Recipient of 2nd Annual Diversity in Design Small Business Grant
The ASID Texas Chapter is proud to announce this year’s ASID Texas Chapter Diversity in Design Small Business Grant has been awarded to Kasey McCarty Interior Design (KMIDS, LLC) from the Ausin Design Community.
KMIDS, LLC is an ever-evolving studio rooted in thoughtful collaboration, personalized service, and design that reflects the values of creativity, function, and integrity.
A Hispanic woman-owned small business, Kasey plans to utilize the awarded funds to align her strategic investments to streamline operations, increase visibility, and expand her regional presence. As a third-generation Mexican American born in the United States, from El Paso Texas, her family’s background in construction has proved to be influential and has inspired her to be involved in the design profession today.
She plans to further develop her marketing infrastructure, digital content organization, and expand regionally. She hopes to create a paid internship opportunity for a student from her alma matter, the strong interior design program at Texas State University and assist in taking her business “to the next level”. The grant will help her build a meaningful way to invest in the next generation while strengthening her team.
The DEI based award aligns firmly with KMIDS, LLC’s core values of inclusion, professionalism, and design excellence.
