On the evening of Thursday, September 17th over 250 members and friends of the ASID Texas Chapter came together to celebrate our members’ design talents and volunteer spirit at the 2026 Celebrating Design Texas (CDT) Awards on the 11th Floor of Dallas Market Center’s World Trade Center.
Normally held in conjunction with the CDT conference, this year the Awards celebration stood alone since ASID Headquarters held the 2026 version of GATHER Catalyst, the ASID National Conference, in Dallas September 16-18. Our Texas Chapter leaders wanted our members to attend and support the national conference, which offers the valuable opportunity to meet members from all across the nation.
We encouraged attendees to embrace this year's theme, Design In Full Color, a Moroccan oasis awash in rich reds and glimmering golds woven into vibrant geometric patterns symbolizing spiritual harmony and the interconnectedness of life. Colorful caftans were encouraged, and attendees answered the call!

As this event also acts as our Annual Chapter Meeting…
- We recognized and thanked all levels of current volunteer leaders from around the Texas Chapter for the many hours they devote to bring beneficial events and programs to our members.
- Current Chapter President Nichelle Hosley, ASID Allied addressed the audience, touting our achievements from the past year.
- Current Chapter President-Elect Faye Nielsen, ASID Allied spoke about our goals in the coming leadership year beginning October 1st.
- Lastly, we honored our Texas Chapter Administrator Pat Gallagher, who has who has served us for 23 years and who will be retiring spring 2027.
