Thank you to everyone who was a part of our inaugural in-person Celebrating Design Texas: Education, Expo & Awards! Over 275 people from all across the ASID Texas Chapter came together Thursday, August 12 & Friday, August 13 for CDT21 on the campus of ASID Texas Chapter Sponsor Dallas Market Center and in the Trade Mart showroom of ASID Industry Partner Progress Lighting.
Participants took advantage of 14 hours of HSW, IDCEC-approved CEUs, a vendor showcase, tours for Students/Emerging Designers, a lighting-focused progressive happy hour, and a festive awards cocktail party. CDT21 definitely accomplished its goal of bringing together our industry to learn, source, socialize, and recognize the achievements of our ASID Texas Chapter members.

At the Awards Cocktail Party we celebrated the deserving recipients of the 2021 Texas Chapter Member Awards for volunteerism and the talented winners of the 2021 Celebrating Design Texas Awards, the annual design competition recognizing the finest interior design achievements within the ASID Texas Chapter.
We also recognized the recipients of the 2021 President’s Awards bestowed by 2020-2021 ASID Texas Chapter President Corey Davey, ASID, as well as two national awards bestowed to members of the ASID Texas Chapter:
- 2021 ASID National Chapter Community Service Award given to the ASID Texas Chapter for the Austin Design Community’s service project for the new 57,000 SF facility for The Salvation Army Rathgeber Center for Families in Austin. LEARN MORE HERE

While the winners scrolled on multiple monitors, we toasted our honorees with champagne, noshed on heavy hors d'oeuvres, and enjoyed socializing with our fellow ASID members across the entire Texas Chapter for the first time since the pandemic began!
